MY VITA AS AN ARTIST

After the studies of art with the special field of Sculpture there have been created::

 

Since 1963
- Acts and clothed figures

- Batic work on Geminder Linnen, which soon assumed technical character.

Since 1964

- A three year's course in freehand drawing at a corresponding institute in Paris

Since 1968

- Start of the conception and detailed designs for the inter-active kybernatic project VARIABLE 2000 which has for theme the beginning of computerization. In connection with this for the first time reduction on Circle and Square as symbols of Energy, Spirit and Matter.

- Development of two didactic games of art which have not yet been realized.

- TECHNO GINKGO – styling of an outer wall

- Realization of the seven groups of objects of the project VARIABLE 2000

- The idea of visualizing the impossibility of the computer's possibilities by few simple means fascinated me.

- When returning the hollow half-balls by 180° there result more than four quadrillions of constellations. Partial circulation gets into infinity.

The VARIABILE is presented at the world-exhibition EXPO 92 in Sevilla in The pavilion of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Since 1997

- My turn to painting, thematically oriented about the scientific findings of quantum physics.

- The unseparable interweaving of Matter and Energy with its universally as well as in Man existing efficacy becomes the fascinating impulse for my paintings.

- The figures of Circle and Square with their symbolic content of Energy – Spirit and Matter which I had taken first from Constructivism into presence for the project VARIABILE 2000, from now on I put in a different, more extended correlation.

- At first there are made penetrations of forms with free combinations of colours.

- The temporary inclusion of brain-cells, strings, waves etc. produces relations to Life, to Man, to Cosmos.

- Today compositions of arrangements in layers are created more frequently in connection with the reduction to only one colour in different nuances as a pendant to mainly grey shades.

- The application of the Golden Section in the compositions of paintings points to the ideal universal system.

- Concerning the choice of the pulsating structure for the application of colour was induced by the vibration of energetic substance.

- The constructive art in combination with the symbolism of the geometric forms have turned out to be absolutely necessary as the adequate artificial means to represent the unimaginable by abstract means.

 

Resumée

Since about 1970 mechanization – micro-electronics – quantum physics have, one after the other and coinciding determined the subjects of my artistical activities. My development as an artist has almost inevitably resulted from focusing my looks onto certain globally effective, scientifically motivated currents of present – united with willful consequence and passion.
